The Bed
A frame of solid oak, simple in the Scandinavian way. The front sits low, so older legs step in without a jump, and the rolled back is where he rests his chin.
Inside, three layers like a good mattress: coconut fibre for air, natural latex for soft support, New Zealand merino for warmth. The cover is merino bouclé, and it zips off to wash.

Eat
The Bowls
Breakfast by the window, at a height that is kind to his neck.
We made the stand for the way he eats: head level, no craning, and nothing sliding across the floor.
The Bowls
Two bowls turned from white marble, one for food and one for water, set into a stand of solid oak. No two have the same veins.
The stand lifts them to the height of his chest, so he eats and drinks without craning his neck, and each bowl lifts out to wash.

Walk
The Walk set
For the walk every morning, soft enough that he forgets he is wearing it.
The harness is cut in a soft Y across his chest, so nothing presses on his throat or rubs where his front legs meet his chest.

Full grain leather, the softest part of the hide, lined in wool felt. It ages instead of fraying.
The lead is natural cotton rope with a rolled leather handle, every buckle is brushed brass, and it all comes in our cream box, ready to give.

One rule does the curating.
Every object is one honest material. That single rule does the curating, it explains the prices, and it is the reason a den here has no door. A crate is something you put a dog in. A den is somewhere he chooses to go.

Solid oak
The frame of the bed and the stand of the bowls are solid oak, never a veneer over board. Oak is hard and slow to mark, and it deepens a little in colour over the years, the way a good table does.

Merino wool
The bed’s cover is merino bouclé, a looped wool that is soft under his chin. Merino keeps him warm in winter and breathes in summer, and the cover zips off to wash.

White marble
Each bowl is turned from a single piece of white marble, so no two share the same veins. Stone is heavy enough to stay where it is put, and it holds the cool, so the water stays fresh for longer.

Inside the bed, natural latex gives soft support. It lies over coconut fibre, which lets the air move, with merino wool on top for warmth: three natural layers, like a good mattress.

The harness is full grain leather, the strongest and softest part of the hide, lined in wool felt where it touches his chest. It ages instead of fraying, and grows more supple with every walk.

Brushed brass
Every buckle, ring and clip on the walk set is brushed brass. There is no plastic clip anywhere, and the metal softens to a warm shine as it is handled.
